Our first alpacas were purchased in 2004 after visiting studs in Qld, Victoria and South Australia. Our herd is made up of females with top Australian genetics. Throughout the first four years we mated our females to top stud males, by doing this we have continually produced show quality alpacas. Genetics include: Benleigh Bellissimo, Shanbrooke Yavari, EP Cambridge Commisario, Shanbroke Tulaco, Cambridge Spartacus, Patagonia Celtic Triumph, Canchones Gendamme, Coonawarra Julius, Purrumbete Highlander, WV Iceman, Cedar House Hugo , Illawarra Wenoim and Hemingways Protégé. In 2005 we began showing our animals and since have received many ribbons including—Supreme, Best White, Junior Male & Female Champion, Intermediate Male & Female Champion & various Reserve Championships and a selection of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placings. We are now stepping ahead with our breeding by using our own stud males. · Canchones Celedonio (SW) (Peruvian Import) who is co-owned with Canchones Alpaca Stud in Victoria. A stud male that was chosen for his density, and crimpy fleece characterisitics. Consistently winning sires progeny classes at shows in 2009/2010. · Andean Park Ringmaster (SW) He is a proven stud male, consistently producing progeny with fine, crimpy fleece. A frame male with Highlander genetics. Used by previous owners Leranda Ridge in their successful ET program. Currently standing at stud this winter with Sunline Alpacas in QLD. · Leranda Ridge Pure Ice (SW) Proven stud male producing cria with lustrous soft handling fleece. (Highlander genetics) Co-owned with Brotarnee Alpacas Armidale. Progeny have won Supreme and Championships in 2010, and placed 3rd in Sires Progeny at various shows in 2010. · Canchones Chevalier (SBLK) a young male by Canchones Gendamme, a male who produces less medullation in progeny. Beginning stud duties on farm in 2010. · Glenhope Bakari (SMF) a fleece & frame male to complement our breeding of quality blacks. His first cria won Junior Champion Male at Kendall Show 2010. |
